Cylindrical ROLLER THRUST BEARINGS can support large thrust loads. They’re commonly found between gears and between the housing and spinning shafts in gear sets. Most transmissions use helical gears with angled teeth, which creates a thrust load that must be supported by the bearing.
They are composed of a washer-shaped raceway ring, which are a shaft washer and a seat washer; cylindrical rollers, and cage assembly. Cylindrical rollers are processed with engineered and optimized convex surfaces, so the pressure distribution between the rollers and the raceway surface is properly distributed. It is used at low speed and can withstand one-way axial load without restricting the radial direction. The axial load capacity is large, and the axial rigidity is also strong.
